Schnick-Schnack-Systems presented 1.000fps, "fully customized" Outdoor profiles and Generation 3 at ISE 2015
Cologne February 2015 – Schnick-Schnack-Systems, a leading provider of LED effect light, presented at this year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam its new product range – including a control unit that allows up to 1.000fps, a customized profile system for outdoor use as well as the new Generation 3 technology.
The now fourth appearance of Schnick-Schnack-Systems at the ISE was characterized by the LED control technology: So demonstrated the LED specialist, who developed and produced exclusively in Germany, next to a synchronously played booth a wall installation for the demonstration of live video. The real highlights were the widely visible Generation 3 logo build with outdoor profiles and the workstation with the Interactive Pixel-Generator for variable high-speed frame rates up to 1.000fps.
Outdoor profiles in 25 and 50 mm pitch - or "fully customized"
The Generation 3 logo consisted of new COPS outdoor profiles (Custom Outdoor Profile System), a proprietary development by Schnick-Schnack-Systems. As the only outdoor profiles in the market they are compatible with all relevant protocols. They support DMX, DPB, Artnet, sACN, DVI and SDI. The LEDs are located under a polymer casting that is both UV stable, durable and conforms to protection class IP67. In the basic equipment the profiles are available in the 25 and 50mm pitch, in two profile types in lengths from 250 to 2500mm and in black and white. Who needs for its outdoor installation individual pitches, lengths, case colors or shapes, can customize them at Schnick-Schnack-Systems.
Like all products from Schnick-Schnack-Systems the outdoor profile opens up completely new design options. They support DVI and Full HD input signals and allow frame rates up to 60 fps or more. The LEDs of the profiles can be synchronized thanks Generation 3 technology and the usual channel limit of DMX from 512 expand to over 3,000 channels. This approach is made possible thanks to 32-bit processors, HD-capable 3x16bit drivers and a bidirectional interface. In addition, the profiles support the new Dynamic-Pixel-Bus and offer 20 percent more efficiency. Finally, give all LED components feedback about the CPU temperature and supply voltage. Troubleshooting in the patch or the wiring is simple, remote diagnostics possible.
Powerful control systems from a single source
Furthermore, the LED specialist unveiled the prototype of a new drive. It should be launched on the market as early as next year. On a LED screen Schnick-Schnack-Systems demonstrated, with an unusual user interface (a converted ship telegraph), as this new control enables the smooth transition from low 25 to 1,000 revolutionary frames per second.
On another wall Schnick-Schnack-Systems also showed the recording of a live video from a tablet to video playable, monochrome LED tiles of the series M using the video-Ethernet converter Pixel-Gate. Last but not least S3 announced at the fair: With the new DMX Pixel-Router – with 32-bit technology, it is up to 40 times faster than most of its competitors – you can also control LEDs from other manufacturers with control devices from Schnick-Schnack-Systems.
"Maximum freedom of design, innovative control technology, outstanding frame rates, representation and product quality: At ISE we have proved that our products set the trend. Further Schnick-Schnack-Systems will continue development and production in Germany. Only here our standards for ourselves and our products really implement ", said Michael Quartier, Project Manager at Schnick-Schnack-Systems.
