Color Config Tool

The PC software Color Config Tool enables professional users to configure the color and dimming behavior of LED products.

With just a few mouse clicks, the LED products can be adapted to the respective place of use.

As a result, the professional user receives:

  • The adjustment of all colors to the ambient light (by selecting the white point)
  • Compensation of color casts from a diffuser (by shifting the white point)
  • More beautiful colors (by selecting the appropriate color profile)
  • A better or adapted dimming behavior
  • An adaptation of the colors to neighboring systems
  • Maximum dynamics by adapting the brightness of the LED system to the respective task
  • More brightness (if needed)

The program is installed on a Windows PC. A PCs Ethernet interface is connected to the installation consisting of routers (or system power supplies 4E) and current LED products from the C, D or P series. Usually, this is just one cable to the existing Ethernet switches.

The color configuration consists of specifying the target brightness, configuring the dimming curve, specifying the white point and, if applicable, the primary color points, and specifying the color profile. The color profiles make a distinction between "RGB" and "RGB to RGBW" systems as well as colorimetric and more creative color systems. The creative color systems, enable more brightness with richer colors compared to the traditional colorimetric systems. The Quality of the CMY colors is also usually better here.

The color configuration can be read from the LED product, changed and copied to other LED products. Saving or loading from a file is also possible. Uploading the color information to the LED-Devices is a parallel process that can also run on thousands of LED products at the same time. Uploading only takes a few seconds. A statistic and the list of LED products provide information about the change that has taken place. In addition, the LED products provide feedback if the target brightness is being achieved, considering the individual LED characteristics color-measured during production.
