The Geneva International Motor Show is traditionally the first European motor show of the year. The Swiss trade fair was held for the first time in 1905 as the “National Automobile and Bicycle Exhibition”. Since then, it has opened its doors every year at the beginning of March for around two weeks. Around 700 brands are presented on 102,000 square meters in the Palexpo exhibition complex.
Mercedes-Benz presented the new E-Class Cabriolet and the completely revised GLA as highlights at the 87th Geneva Motor Show. The visual centerpiece of the trade fair appearance is the “EQ-Lane”, which runs through the entire stand as a shiny black lane equipped with lighting and media technology.
The Plexiglas rods of the “EQ-Lane” were illuminated with 500 B50-500 LED strips and 465 LED-Intelligences from Schnick-Schnack-Systems. The strips were supplied with power via 6 DMX pixel routers.
