The automobile manufacturer Volkswagen presented itself at the 65th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main from September 12 to 22 with an almost 9,000m² exhibition stand.
The architectural centerpiece of the stand was the main stage with a 61m² LED wall and a video-controllable LED floor, which was equipped with LED tiles from Schnick-Schnack-Systems. From there, the so-called “Think Blue.” walk led along the Volkswagen models.
The floor of the exhibition stand was equipped with 730 C25 LED tiles from Schnick-Schnack-Systems. Three Pixel-Gates Plus and 21 System Power Supplies 4E were used for the control. The LED tiles were installed in 27 floor panels manufactured by Haigis and Schultz.
The special requirement for this project: the LED floor had to be passable by cars, with a floor tile height of only 25 mm.
