Visibility in road traffic cannot be taken for granted, which is precisely why it is one of the outstanding commitments of the Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (bfu). SEE YOU, the bfu’s world of mirrors, is playfully dedicated to this topic and also forms the attractive focal point for the public on the first floor of the renovated Road Traffic Hall at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
The exhibition was opened to the public on April 12, 2017. The unique and modern mirror labyrinth turns the theme of “Seeing and being seen” into an experience. Because the carefully groping walk through the maze with 68 mirrors on 85 square meters is a pleasure for young and old.
SYMA developed the unique adventure world together with LOOSLI & ZEHNDER. An important part of the new attraction was the integration of the floor and the ceiling made of diffuse acrylic glass installed with state-of-the-art LED lighting. These appear kaleidoscopically multiplied and increase the illusion of a huge, labyrinthine environment.
A total of 270 white, video-controllable, freely arrangeable LED dots from Schnick-Schnack-Systems were installed in the ceiling, controlled by 5 Intelligences M60 and a DMX player.
